Review:
This book is a must read. I am generally not
fascinated by mythological books and I have never ever read Ramayana. My
knowledge of Ramayana was restricted just to a few anecdotes here and there, as
narrated to me by my parents and grandparents. The day I read this book, I
remembered those anecdotes and could look at a broader picture. The book seemed
familiar to me for I had listened to these tales.
Speaking about the book, it is narrated amazingly. We belong to the modern generation. We aren't a great fan of reading epics. But this book has everything that will keep the interest of the Y generation alive. Each chapter is well written giving out a message towards the end. Everything is well explained without leaving any room for doubts. The footnotes towards the end of the page have been of great help to me.
I would say read this book not just to know more about the epic, Ramayana. But to take the correct message from the book and implement it in your lives. I am surely buying the other books in this series and reading them!
